Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
Polycystic ovarian syndrome in women is caused by the disturbance in hormones that disrupts ovulation. As a result, instead of ripening an egg with each cycle, the ovaries develop many small size cysts. This health condition is one of most common reasons for not being able to get pregnant. Polycystic ovarian syndrome can be treated by bringing change in lifestyle, losing weight and taking ovulation stimulating medicines.
Poor Egg Quality
Damaged or abnormal eggs that develop chromosomal abnormalities cannot develop pregnancy and result in infertility. This medical condition is mostly related to age because the ability of women to form eggs and quality of these eggs decreased with the age and especially in late 30s and 40s. The treatment of this condition can be donation of eggs or embryo and adoption.
Endometriosis is another most common reason that makes it difficult for women to get pregnant. Endometriosis is a condition which develops due to the endometrial tissues that grows outside the uterus. The endometrial tissues are the uterine lining that shacks with every month’s cycle. The condition causes blockage in tubes and ovulation which results in infertility. Treatment for this condition is possible through laparoscopic surgery in which the doctors remove abnormal tissues and the unblocked tubes. Tube Blockages in Women
Fallopian tubes in women blocks or damages results in preventing eggs from getting to the uterus and sperm from getting to eggs. Other similar reasons include sexually transmitted diseases, pelvic inflammatory disease and sterilization surgery.
